Leonardo Da Vinci Enrichment Course Catalog
Session 2, April 12 - May 24
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE BEGINNING YOUR REGISTRATION
Registration via this form can be paid in full online, or you can choose to pay onsite. Both actions will register your children in the class. Online payment requires payment of a small fee to the registration processor, which will be added when you check out. If you choose to pay onsite, you will need to bring a check for the cost of the course to the office, made out to Leonardo Da Vinci PTO, memo line: Enrichment Course, by one week prior to the start of the course.
If your family is using or would like to use a Leonardo Da Vinci PTO scholarship for the cost of the course, please choose "pay onsite" and, after enrolling, email Tammy Van Dyke to request scholarship for the course at [email protected].
If the class you'd like to enroll in is full, please contact Mary Ann Hudson to be included on a waiting list. Registrations not paid by a week before the class begins will be released to the waiting list. Spots may also be released due to enrollment cancellation. The waiting list operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you have technical difficulties registering online, please contact Mary Ann Hudson. All questions regarding the Enrichment Program, including courses, instructors, and program expectations may also be directed to Mary Ann.
HOW TO REGISTER
Students may register for more than one course, but because all courses are held at the same time, students cannot register for multiple courses on the same day of the week. Parents may register multiple children for the same course at one time. To register a child or children in multiple courses, however, it is necessary to complete each registration separately.
1. Select the course you'd like to register for below and click "Enroll Now." The course listing at Eventbrite will open in a new browser window.
2. Confirm that you have the right course and the dates and time are correct. For a free course, click on the button titled "Register." For a course with an enrollment fee, click on the button titled "Get Tickets." These buttons appear at the upper right.
3. If the course is free, you will have only one ticketing option. Select the number of registrations you would like for the course (1 for a single child, + tickets if you are registering more than one child in the same course) and click "Checkout." If there is a fee associated with the course, you will be asked to choose whether to "Register & Pay Online" or "Register & Pay Onsite." (These options are explained above and in your Eventbrite window.) Once you have made your decision, select the number of registrations you would like for the course (1 for a single child, + tickets if you are registering more than one child in the same course) for the correct ticketing type and click "Checkout."
4. You will be taken to the final page. If you already have an Eventbrite account, you will log in at this time. If you're new to Eventbrite, you'll need to create a free account by providing your name, email address, and a password. If your registration is free, you're done! If you need to pay for your class, this is where you'll enter your credit card information.
5. You have registered for the class! You'll receive confirmation of your registration from Eventbrite, as well as a follow-up email at a later date from the Da Vinci PTO registration coordinator asking for details about the child or children being enrolled.
6. If you'd like to register a child or children for additional classes, return to this page and begin again.
PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS
Leonardo da Vinci School for Gifted Learners, and its programs sponsored by the PTO, uphold the LEARNER/LEADER model for our community. All students who participate in the Enrichment Program agree to all Leonardo da Vinci School for Gifted Learner policies in regards to other students, our facility, and our Enrichment teachers. Each participant in the Enrichment Program is a representative of Leonardo da Vinci School for Gifted Learners, and failure to uphold the LEARNER/LEADER model and/or the policies for students at Leonardo da Vinci School for Gifted Learners will result in school official-directed consequences for unexpected student behavior.
In addition to maintaining the Leonardo da Vinci School for Gifted Learners culture in the Enrichment Program, students are expected to:
*Arrive in their Enrichment classroom directly after school ready to learn.
*Comply to the expectations of the Enrichment instructors and their assistants.
*Model LEARNER/LEADER expectations of Leonardo da Vinci School.
*Respect their Enrichment teacher, one another, and Enrichment program assistants.
Students are not permitted to:
*Have food or snacks in the classrooms. If a student requires a snack for a medical reason, the parent must arrange this snack in advance with the Enrichment coordinator.
*Have guests with them in the classroom during instruction, including parents.
*Leave the Leonardo da Vinci facility until their designated pick-up adult has confirmed their arrival for pick-up and checked their student out of the Enrichment Program.
Family of Enrichment Program participating students may:
*Volunteer as an Enrichment program assistant, as this is the appropriate role for parents in the Enrichment program. Enrichment program assistants need to have a current background check on file with the district.
*Donate costs or materials to the Enrichment program. Contact the Enrichment Program Coordinator for details.
*Apply to be an Enrichment coordinator instructor. Contact the Enrichment Program Coordinator for details.
Interested instructors who are not Da Vinci community parents or guardians and eighteen to twenty-five years old, should have two years of experience working with school-age children in a formal (not home-based) environment and at least one reference who can speak directly to their work with children.
By enrolling your child(ren) in the Enrichment Program at Da Vinci School, you agree to these expectations.
